Pre-Purchase Survey - Condition and Value
A Pre-Purchase survey is a thorough, non-destructive inspection of the vessel's structural and cosmetic condition, as well as all systems. It typically includes an out-of-water inspection of the hull's wetted surfaces and running gear, followed by a trial run to assess the engine and transmission performance. This survey results in a comprehensive report on the vessel's condition and provides a fair market value, which can also be utilized for obtaining insurance or financing.

An insurance survey provides an inspection and report to satisfy an insurance company's requirements in order to obtain, renew, or switch providers.
04
Appraisal Inspection
This inspection is conducted to gather enough information to justify or determine the fair market value of the vessel. This is typically required for financing, estate settlements, donations, and legal cases.
Pre-Sale (Punchlist) Survey - Condition and Value
03
Also known as a Seller's Survey, this is a thorough, non-destructive inspection of the vessel's structural and cosmetic condition, as well as all systems, along with a trial run to evaluate engine and transmission performance. It may also include an out-of-water inspection of the hull's wetted surfaces and running gear if needed. This survey results in a comprehensive report on the vessel's condition and provides a fair market value, which can serve as a punch list to prepare the vessel for sale and assist in the sales process.
05
Preliminary Sale Inspection (Pre-Check)
This is a service for a client who wishes to have a vessel verified to see if it appears to be as advertised and further inspected. This inspection will only have pictures and a summary of findings provided for verification.
06
Oil Analysis
An oil analysis is typically performed as part of a Pre-Purchase Survey and is recommended to supplement the trial run. Usually conducted after a trial run, these analyses should be performed on engines, transmissions, and generators.
Also Consider a Pre-Sale oil analysis for a potentially smoother sales process and to demonstrate your vessel's excellent maintenance.
